Privacy policy

Last updated 3 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data ABSee collects when you visit absee.it, request a demo, sign up for the Experiment Digest, or use ABSee in your browser or through your AI assistant (app.absee.it), and what we do with it.

Who we are

ABSee is run by Romestraat Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16342990), registered office 5th Floor, City Reach, 5 Greenwich View Place, London E14 9NN, United Kingdom. We are the controller of your personal data under UK and EU data protection law. Contact us at hello@absee.it.

What we collect

  • Demo requests: your name, work email, company and role.
  • Experiment Digest sign-ups: your email address and the brands you choose to follow.
  • Account details: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google. Passwords are held only in hashed form by our sign-in provider; we can’t read them.
  • Workspace details: your workspace’s name, plan, email domain and members.
  • Usage: how and when you use ABSee, including the requests your AI assistant sends to it and the pages it saves.
  • Data you ask us to analyse: if your plan includes analysis of your own data, such as past tests, we use it only to provide that analysis to you.
  • Technical data: the cookies described below and basic request logs that keep the service secure and working.

We don’t see your conversations with your AI assistant beyond what it sends to ABSee.

About the experiments in ABSee

ABSee describes experiments that brands run on their public websites, recorded from what any visitor’s browser is shown. We don’t sign in to anyone’s account, and we don’t collect personal data about those websites’ visitors or customers.

Why we use it

  • To provide the service you signed up for (performing our contract with you): signing you in, running your workspace and your plan.
  • With your consent: sending you the Experiment Digest. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • For our legitimate interests: replying to demo requests, keeping ABSee secure, preventing misuse, enforcing plan limits and improving the service.
  • To meet legal obligations where the law requires it.

We don’t sell your data, use it for advertising, or make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Who we share it with

Only with service providers that run ABSee for us, under contracts that require them to protect it: hosting, database and sign-in providers, an AI processing provider, and Google if you choose to sign in with Google. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser shares its IP address with Google when it fetches them. We may share data with our professional advisers, with a buyer if the business is sold, or where the law requires it. Some providers process data outside the UK and EU; where they do, the transfer is protected by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

How long we keep it

Account and workspace data: while your account or workspace is open. When you close it or ask us to delete it, we delete it within 30 days, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation. Demo requests and Digest sign-ups: until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe, and we remove inactive ones at least every two years.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct, delete or restrict it, to send it to you in a portable format, or to stop using it for our legitimate interests. Write to hello@absee.it; we reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office, ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use only what the site needs to work, so we don’t ask for cookie consent:

  • Sign-in: keeps you signed in to ABSee, in a cookie or your browser’s local storage.
  • Experiment Digest: remembers where you are in the sign-up, for up to 60 days.

No analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.

Children

ABSee is a service for businesses and isn’t intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update this page and the date above, and tell account holders about significant changes.
